This book is a great overview of the inauguration Inauguration Memories. There were so many images from tv that there was no way to capture but this book did it all2009-03-18 Rating 5. I was especially pleased to see a good picture of Mrs. Obama's inauguration gown without waiting for the Smithsonian exhibition. Newspapers photos will fade. This book will give you memories to share with grandchildren for quite some time. .

I would highly recommend purchasing this journal the pictures and description of the journey are awesome! You know that a lot of detail went into preparing this book it is so vivid Excellent Journal. For those of us who were not able to experience this historical moment in person this book gave me a glimpse of what it was like to be there and for that I thank you2009-03-16 Rating 5.

Despite all the rave reviews of this book I found it to be quite disappointing and not at all what I expected or wanted A Pictoral Disappointment. It covered alot on the people coming to the inaugural weekend and event but not enough on the president and his family2009-03-07 Rating 2. Lots of photos of flag wavers and crowds just not enough focus on the Obamas per se - the inauguration and all their events. The book is uninspiring and simply boring. Other than that the photos are nice and the book in general (minus the content) is layed out well. In addition my book arrived damaged and crushed with a marred up cover. Total bum deal all around.

I wanted to add the Washington Post book to my collection, since I have the Time and Life books Enjoying It. 2009-03-06 Rating 5.

This photographic journal captured the true atmosphere of such a historical event in American history Yes We Did. For people unable to attend the inauguration, this is a must have item to add to your President Obama collection2009-03-03 Rating 5.

The Post had more than 100 photographers and reporters chronicling every step of the inaugural weekend from the President-elect's train trip to Washington to the last of the inaugural celebrations Post reporters also followed the First Family throughout the weekend as they assumed their place at the top of the capital's hierarchy.
