The advantages of this book is that it is all in color and has actual real pictures so you can see which button or feature you're trying to master. The owner's manual is black and white, doesn't have actual pictures in the diagrams, doesn't go into anywhere near the depth that this book does. One last benefit of this book is that after the chapters that explain what the Nikon manual should have done. . there are sections on how to get better pictures and different techniques. You're able to see how to take your photography to the next level after you learn how to use and utilize your camera. This book is always in my camera bag everywhere I go. .
